In our digital, and fast paced world, Humble Warrior Yoga aims to provide children with the time and space to cultivate a nourished mind and body. We use yoga and movement as a means to express, process, and learn about our ever changing and complex emotions and how they manifest within our bodies. With time and practice, your child will build confidence, empathy, as well as a strong foundation of strategies to express, release, and cope with complex emotions.
MAMASTAY AND PLAY
Accompany your little yogi's as they embark a journey into yoga and mindfulness! Through animals, play, song, and dance, your little yogi's will learn the basics of yoga and mindfulness.
*One adult per participating child.
3-4 years old
Using imagination and story telling, your little yogi's will engage in playful poses that require both balance and focus. It is here we begin to introduce the practice of gratitude. Yogi's are provided tools that will playfully redirect focus and inherently calm the mind.
4-6 years old
Little yogi's will begin to take part in poses that strengthen balance and focus. In Warrior I, they are introduced to empathy awareness. Through dialogue we begin to reflect on the idea, how can we be a humble warrior outside the studio?
7-9 years old
Yogi's will begin to focus on self-awareness in relation to others. Through yoga, we encourage self-expression, reflection, and dialogue. As their minds are ever-racing, we provide valuable time in shavasana!
10-12 years old
As yogi's head towards early adolescence, we will continue to support their self-expression and bring into awareness the ebb and flow of their dynamic emotions. Through more evolved poses and stretches, we will continue to strengthen and restore their body and mind.
